Lady Gaga is doing it alone! The singer will perform solo at the upcoming Super Bowl half time show - and she has clearance to do whatever she wants. Lady Gaga is just a few short weeks away from the world's biggest stage, performing the halftime show at Super Bowl 51 - and she's been working extra hard to make sure everything goes off perfectly! The ‘Born This Way’ singer released a teaser, behind-the-scenes video of her preparation for the big show! Sometimes performers bring along other artists to share the stage during the performance, like last year with Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars, but reports say Gaga will be performing solo. And get this- apparently Gaga has free reign to sing, or talk about, whatever she wants during the show. Entertainment Tonight reported that the NFL had asked the singer to refrain from talking about politics, specifically Donald Trump, during the show. You'll remember Gaga has been outspokenly against the soon-to-be president. But the NFL responded saying they did no such thing. “It's false,” their Senior Vice President of Communications told CNN. “This is unsourced nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is none.” Now, no word on IF Lady Gaga will use the stage as a platform come February 5th, but she's certainly free to do so.

Come on- we haven't seen such a perfect pop prince and princess duo since Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears- am I right? BUT, this may be just what we need to finally move on. After all, this is like strike 100 for the ex-couple. As you remember, Bieber was part of the reason Selena cancelled her Revival tour, went to rehab, and took a 3-month hiatus from social media. It all came to a head when Bieber posted photos with his then-flame, Sophia Richie, and fans backlashed, causing the singer to threaten to make his account private. That's when Selena jumped in, suggesting that if he doesn't want to hear from fans, maybe Justin should keep his relationship to himself. And the birth of a feud was born, sending Selena into a dark place, and you know the rest. This is what we want to know, even if Momma Gomez is right and Justin is bad for Selena, does she have the right to interfere? Also, do you guys want to see Jelena back together or not? On Thursday, January 19, investors await quarterly results from American Express and a speech from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen. After the markets close, American Express is expected to post earnings of $0.98 a share on sales of $7.91 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, the bank reported earnings of $1.23 a share on sales of $8.39 billion. IBM also releases earnings after the markets close. As for economic developments, housing starts for December are released at 8:30 a.m. EST., along with weekly jobless claims. At 11 a.m., the weekly EIA Petroleum Status report is unveiled. Then at 8 p.m., Fed Chair Janet Yellen delivers a speech in California. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
