Rogue One Creators Clear Up Reshoot Rumors

The filmmakers behind the next Star Wars movie clear up those pesky reshoot rumors and we’ve got them for you right now! Do recent Rogue One reshoots point to the film being in trouble? Not according to the film’s creative team. If you’ve been following news on this December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, you’re probably aware that the film is currently undergoing weeks of reshoots that will end just before July 15th when Star Wars Celebration begins in London. Original reports suggested the reshoots were in response to the folks at Disney not being happy with the first cut of the film and that the studio wanted to change the tone of the movie from a darker war film to a lighter heist movie. While reshoots on large studio films are par for the course these days, rumors of the film being in trouble have persisted and now director Gareth Edwards and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy have spoken to Entertainment Weekly to clear things up.
