The Compliments Corner features letters and e-mails of praise and accolades received by the agency from citizens, businesses, partners in law enforcement, and other members of the community.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a vehicle involved in the hit-and-run of a runner in the Lowes Island area Monday morning. An adult male was running in the Algonkian Parkway area around 8 a.m. Monday when he attempted to cross Great Falls Forest Drive.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate a hole that mysteriously appeared in the passenger side of a car in Sterling Friday. A motorist driving in the Whitewater Drive and Levee Way area around 1:50 p.m. Friday heard a loud noise and discovered a hole in the passenger side door of the vehicle.

Members of Sigma Mu Mu of Loudoun County, VA Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity volunteered at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling on Saturday November 15 to support the LINK Thanksgiving Food Distribution program. The men's group managed traffic control for the steady flow of 55 family pick-ups an hour as shopping carts totaling over 50,000 pounds of non perishable groceries, and 750 pounds of frozen meat and 300 pounds of vegetables and fruit were loaded into needy family vehicles from our local neighborhoods.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe makes the announcement at Black Hops Farm that Virginia has awarded a $40,000 grant, matched by Loudoun County, to support the construction and operations of the mid-Atlantic's largest commercial hops processing facility in Lucketts.

Black Hops Farm plans to invest in the site improvements, buildings, and equipment needed to convert the former residence and horse farm into a commercial hops production and processing facility. The company is expected to create 11 new jobs in Loudoun County and source more than 60 percent of their hops, equating to at least 3,500 pounds, from Virginia over the next three years.
