Breanna Hamilton with her son Kane, 3, and daughter Marci, 1, wait at the Kansas City airport for her husband, Marine Cpl. Joshua Hamilton, to arrive from North Carolina on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, Kansas City, Mo. The scene at the Kansas City airport, a regional flight hub on the Kansas-Missouri border, was dramatically different than the situation in the Washington-to-Boston corridor, especially for those traveling west. Hundreds of flights were canceled in the northeast and thousands of delays were expected.
