Many of us have been late returning a DVD or a library book, and even though there's a late fee or fine we've probably done it more than once. Maybe we never returned it at all.

A clinic was held at the center Tuesday to teach the public how to play the game. Pickle ball will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to noon at the Glass Recreation Center starting after Thanksgiving.

Two men who have admitted they committed two armed robberies Thursday night are in custody after being apprehended Friday morning by Smith County Sheriff's deputies and Tyler police. Sheriff Larry Smith said the two men, identified as Jacob Lee Roper, 20, and Jacobi Ty-Wan Washington, 21, were arrested after being stopped in the 3500 block of West Erwin Street by a deputy who the vehicle the men were in matched the description of the robbers' vehicle.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Thursday night, Smith County Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies responded to an armed robbery of a convenience store located in the 13000 block of Highway 64 East in the Chapel Hill Community.

Texas' highest criminal court denied an appeal Wednesday from a woman who was sentenced to death for the killing of her developmentally disabled babysitter four years ago. Prosecutors say Cargill was facing a child abuse investigation and that she had already lost custody of one of her two children to her mother.

A Henrico father sent his daughter to Pemberton Elementary School with a recording device. He claims he now has audio of the 8-year-old being verbally and physically abused by a teacher's aide.
